April 8, 2024 - Punchy but clean spirit lift on the nose. It is loaded with chocolate and dark fruits. It is deep, sweet and rich, but so light on its feet. There’s plenty of spice and it is an ethereal drink that is so beautifully balanced and proportioned. The bottle was in spectacular condition and the Port was impeccable. Several at the table couldn’t believe how youthful it looked.

December 14, 2022 - I never like to make a port/dessert wine the WOTN but this one really deserves the title--against extremely stuff competition. Just a perfect showing. Impeccably preserved and in a beautiful spot. A real delight to drink. Should have many good years ahead of it.

On the palate it is full, calm and complex, with nice interplay between the sweet and savoury elements. It fills every crevice of the mouth with flavour and finishes dry and savoury, leaving a wonderful calling card of flora and earth.
