April 25, 2020 - Bouteille acheté au domaine.
Robe or & cuivré;

September 3, 2018 - After trying several Assytriko wines in the last month, this one was the apogee. All the characteristics of Assyrtiko—peach, honey, sea air, bitter almond, dried herbs—were there, but richer than and riper than the other wines. The oak was noticeable at first, but soon blew off, leaving good structure. Good weight. Despite 6 years of age, this wine was drinking very well right now (not overly ripe like a few of the other older bottles I recently opened). This reminded me of Furmint (you can really taste the volcanic terroir) and indeed was a perfect match with Hungarian Chicken Paprika. Best in the Montrachet glass and closer to room temperature. Fantastic, especially for the price. I want more.

July 25, 2015 - Unfortunately a bit corked....shame as it was a beautiful magnum.

January 22, 2015 - Very characterful wine as most Hatzidakis labels. Very dark gold colour. Evolved nose with obvious oxidation alongside flinty and sandy minerality, orange marmelade, ethyl acetate, glue and varnish. Full-bodied and dense with obvious sweetness and heat, balancing acidity and a long aftertate. Ignore this if you are looking for your easy-drinking, fruity white. Like it or not, it is good that such wines still exist, contributing to the diversity of the wine world. I do not see any reason to keep it further.

September 26, 2014 - This wine has faults, high volatile acidity (aceton notes) and bret. Yet it so full and complex that I regard it as a very interesting and good wine.
In a black glass I think it could easily pass for a red due to animal notes and tannins. Full bodied, flavorful and long. Not for everyone though...
