July 27, 2020 - Finally this wine is entering its early maturity window. I enjoyed it better than the last time I had it back in 2017. Showing more secondary notes and a very long finish. Yet... I still am left to believe this wine will become a 95+ pt outstanding wine if I will just keep my hands off it for at least 3-5 more years.

July 13, 2020 - Notes are consistent with my past comments. However, this bottle gave off very subtle graphite and cedar. The wine was medium bodied with sweet medium to dark cherry fruit. No bricking was noticed. I found it lacking some of the complexity that I found in previous tastings. The wine is elegant and feminine. The tannins are resolved and the wine from start to finish is silky and smooth. I do hope my remaining bottles gain a little fruit weight, but I would not say there is fading fruit right now. I give this five years max and I think it is in its prime and will remain consistent for the period and then fade.

July 11, 2020 - Delicious and yet delicate. Long Finish. French oak, dark berries, earth, delightful. A legend. Ready for business now.

June 21, 2020 - I have tasted this annually for the last 3 years, and it is an outstanding wine. That said, it is still in its early stages of its drinking window, and its evolvement is at a pretty glacial place. However, with extended decanting, (i would give this a whole day,) and an hour in the glass sees it really come alive and show its absolute pedigree. The nose and palate display cherry, blackcurrant, and graphite with strong notes of cedar now becoming prominent. The complexity in the mouth is incredible, and the finish is 60+ seconds and in perfect balance. At present the tannin is inhibiting, particularly on the finish, but even at this stage it is a wine for very special occasions. Without doubt this has the potential to become a 100 point wine in the next 5 years, but I think I will hold off revisiting for 2 or 3 years.

June 14, 2020 - Beautiful nose, definitely showing the 03 vintage yet sill retaining some classic charm. This was decanted for 2hrs then enjoyed over the next 4 hours, and kept getting better and better. Ripe red cherry, black current, graphite, cedar, and a touch of brett funk just fills the room. Darker in profile, yet showed nice restraint on the palate. Not a bad time to check in on one if you have a few but I will keep my remaining couple bottles for 5-10+ years to see where they go. I was expecting a much riper and more modern styled wine based on what I've tasted from Cos in the last ≈10 vintages yet this was a pleasant surprise. Perfect with a Rotisserie chicken on this Sunday afternoon with friends.
