October 13, 2012 - high ABV noticeable upon opening, but common for the vintage. As the wine was able to breathe the spice factory started shooting the lovely smells of a V-R wine that we expect. The dark cherry and red currant started to come forth about the same time. The tannin was still a little heavy, but I don't think much more cellar time will do much to change this. A very pleasant taste of Vosne-Romanee without the price being in the hundreds of dollars.
