  November 9, 2019 - 45th Birthday Celebration (Chez Nanda): Wow. Just a ridiculously expressive and refined 45 year old Barolo. The wine's balance is so precise. Great plum fruit that is laced with spice, herb, tar and dried florals. Long and intense.

  November 9, 2019 - "You only turn 45 once" (Chicago, IL): On the heels of the estate Barbaresco last week. This bottle far surpassed that Barbaresco (though it may well be a question of bottle rather than wine). Incredible lightness of fruit on the nose and palate; so delicate and refined, but with correct weight and density here. I love the floral tones and liveliness here; it's fully resolved but based on the flavours in this wine, you'd be hard-pressed to guess it was 45 years old.
