September 14, 2019 - Pnp, but benefits from air in the glass. Reminiscent of a dark syrah on the nose with dark fruit, spices, barnyard, animal fur and leather. Developing, but still surprisingly young. Very nice, but still firm tannins in a medium long aftertaste. Will hold my last bottle of this a few more years, but drinking really nice now.

March 14, 2018 - Sexy nose showing detailed floral character and ripe dark fruit along with some barnyard stink. There is some creamy mocha on the attack before potent tannins carry the gorgeous dark fruit to an inky bitter chocolate finish. This is perfectly sweet, focused and ravishingly tasty. Lives in the hinterland between Burgundy and Cote Rotie with echoes of garagiste Pomerol and some Bairrada here and there. Stunning now and will benefit from 3-5 more years in the cellar.
