Community Tasting Notes 2

June 16, 2015 - Young nose of blackberry, black cherry, oak, aniseed, and pencil lead. Super-smooth, slick palate, with very strong acidity and some pleasant bitterness. Flavours of blackberry, red cherry, red apple, star anise, and cinnamon bark.

July 17, 2014 - aromas of ripe blackcurrant and red plum fruit underpinned by herbaceous notes - very cab sav - touches of cedar and spice. The same fruit proves to be just s ripe but more savoury on the palate underpinned initially by herbaceous and cedar notes and then tough chewy tannin that dominates the medium finish. Hmm.
