October 31, 2010 - Very nice, this opened with dark dense dark berries and wet wood / leather and after around an hour began showing more spice and forest / brush along with more open cherry. It retains firm tannins. Any oak plays a background role. Present acid made it a good match for a rich beef stew. Well put together.

May 7, 2009 - Drank over 2 hours with a rib eye steak dinner. Dark fruit, cherries and plums on the nose. More of the same on the palate, but mellowed out over time. Not very tannic at all, but that might also be because of the half bottle. Easy drinking wine without too much complexity.
