July 13, 2023 - I had some doubts before opening this from having read the previous reviews on cellartracker. But, a buddy insisted that I bring this particular bottle, so we popped it, threw it in a decanter for 10 minutes and it did the usual PYCM dance routine: muted, sulfuric nose on pop 'n pour, but had a deliciously compelling body in the mouth. 10 minutes later, the sulfuric aromas were on the way out and the fruit quotient was on the way up and it was tasting like a typical, delicious PYCM wine. Just kept getting better until the bottle was gone. Not a mindblowing PYCM wine, but consistent with the majority of PYCM white wines I've had from well regarded Villages to 1er Crus. Never tried their Grand Crus though.

May 15, 2022 - Charity Wine Function for Whatcom Hospice House (Samish Hill, Bellingham, WA): I’m the lone outlier. I liked this, but less than any of the critics and reviewers on CT. It was both nervy and dense. Citrus, apple and even pineapple take a backseat to the matchstick reduction. The flinty sulfur never diminished even when revisiting the bottle six hours after opening. I like a little reduction in my white burgundy and champagne, but it was the dominant scent. This bottle was one of my least favorite PYCM whites. I wouldn’t turn down a glass if offered, but if I had more in the cellar, I’d trade it for something else.

April 17, 2021 - Still a bit young but very good now. Crisp citrus, apple and matchstick flavours balanced with a flinty mineral backbone. Intense and vibrant.

July 3, 2020 - Palest straw tinged with green. Very fresh, elegant and floral nose suggestive of Puligny. Lean, and chiselled on the palate after the initial floral hit lifts, with mineral and quite a Chablis-like character to the mid palate and finish. A baby. One to retry in five years. **(**)
