Community Tasting Notes 6

May 10, 2020 - On some romantic evening in the Santa Lucia Highlands, a Pinot Noir vine must have mated with a vagabond Syrah vine to produce this full-throttle, somewhat coarse, admittedly tasty, high-alcohol wine that doesn't resemble any other Pinot I've come across. If you like your Pinots really big, you might be really pleased.

May 27, 2019 - Started off as a funky nose, almost corked. However it slowly opened to a nice deep, earthy. Dry tannic taste at end. Very enjoyable for a Sunday.

September 18, 2018 - Deep red. A bit muddied. A rich Pinot bit with limited fruit and spice, hints of prune on finish.

April 9, 2017 - Deep red and clear. Medium body belies the 15.3% alc. red fruits, raspberry, spice - coriander and red pepper - touch of heat on finish.

November 20, 2015 - Popped and poured. Garnet colored. Long, sinewy legs. Raspberry, strawberry and dust on the nose. Raspberry, blackberry, clove and lavender flavors well balanced by smooth tannins. Medium to full bodied which I find common among Santa Lucia Highlands Pinots. Smooth texture. Pleasant, long, seductive finish.
