January 2, 2021 - Gala apple, pear, juicy, relatively high dosage

August 15, 2020 - Good. Slightly more silver than gold in the color. Nice, soft, medium-fine bubbles and pleasant texture. Crisp acidity but not bracing. Well-made. More “refreshing” than decadent or complex. Textbook example of an accessible vintage release of a “fine” mature champagne, and ready-to-go right now.

September 26, 2019 - Going off memory from a few nights ago...

Light golden, fine persistent bead, immediately hit with aromas of roasted nuts and brioche.
There's some apple and lemon there but this was very yeasty, nutty and bready all the way through.
Length was superb with a great acid line keeping me salivating. Had this with Japanese matcha macarons. Very good way to finish the night!

August 4, 2018 - PnP from magnum. Nose soars from the glass with an array of ripe apricots, crushed hazelnuts, vanilla pastry creme, lively citrus and crushed seashells. Palate isn't quite aligned upon opening showing a tidal wave of oak and toast but opens up with 30 minutes to reveal candied lemon peel, baked vanilla meringues, flaky yeasted pastry, and limestone minerals with a saline inflection. Midpalate is creamy with good body and has great cut thanks to the electric acidity. Finish is fairly long and pleasurable becoming very mineral and citrus driven at the tail end. Give it 3-5 years before opening to let it evolve and shed the oak that is so present today.

June 10, 2017 - Champagne Flight (K&L Wines, San Francisco): Out of magnum. Fine bead. Brioche nose. Nice weight and creaminess. Slight sweetness apparent. Tart orange fruit, moderately oaky base, very good length, but some harshness at the end which should ameliorate with time.
