October 14, 2023 - Decanted an hour off moderate sediment. Black currant, plum, cocoa, spice and oak notes hang on the acidity more than the tannins which are resolved. Now-2026.

November 5, 2022 - The Nearly Annual Lyon 10 Year Retro Tasting #24, Wines of Washington (Lyon Again, Eugene, OR): One of the few bottles today that gave an immediate palate impression of sweetness due to glycerin. Then the big beautiful spicy black fruit hits and all is ok in the world (OK, not). 93+ down to 92 on day 2. Now-2025

December 31, 2021 - I do like It for its depth of flavors of prune, tobacco, chocolate, Licorice, wet stone and cassis. At 11, it is calm, collected, and mature. Tannins are soft, but add structure. But….I find it a little too sweet,which ets in the way of its other great qualities. But still quite enjoyable!
