March 25, 2024 - A delicious start to a delicious evening at pixca. Elegant fruit with a solid silky backbone

November 12, 2022 - On the powerful concentrated side. Black cherry profile, but subtle spice notes mixed with underbrush. Still rather primary on the palate though mostly integrated at this point. Faint oak notes seem in balance to the fruit

February 12, 2022 - PnP’ed and it took a few minutes for the funk to dissipate. Medium garnet in the glass, the wine had pronounced aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, orange peel, rose, cedar, and forest floor. Palate was more earthy and savory, with flavors of wet leaves and mushroom. Medium+ acidity and tannins, full bodied, and a finish that’s slightly hot. It didn’t evolve much over the course of 3 hours, so it’s probably hitting its stride now.

December 24, 2021 - This wine is medium crimson red in hue with very little lightening on rim. The nose and palate are dominated by cherry and strawberry notes with a bit of earth and black pepper on the palate, but it’s definitely still fruit forward. This wine is dry with higher acidity than expected, medium well-integrated tannins, and a nice long finish. Excellent wine that paired perfectly with our Christmas Eve dinner of scallops.

December 12, 2021 - Still fairly primary--cranberries, cherries, orange rind, black tea, and some oak spice. Oak is a bit more prominent on the palate. Light-bodied, and not overly complex or textured. Not sure that this is a long-ager, but wouldn't bet on this going downhill in the next 5-10 years.
