May 4, 2021 - Mid garnet to burgundy red
Ripe, stewed fruits with strawberry jam spread on toast.
Medium+ body, the wine is rich, sweet and generous, with wide-grained tannins. Despite the lively+ rhubarb-soured acidity, the wine feels cumbersome, and the oak infiltrates the flavours giving a workshop wood plankiness (staves? chips over barrels?). Flavours of raspberry, strawberry, tilled earth and a touch of herb. Not too serious, easy drinker. Pretty good for its age.

August 13, 2020 - Elegant and balanced. Nose smoke, barnyard, juniper.
Palate cranberry, bergamot, good minerality still.
Med- body, med+ acid, med tannin.

    brief notes only

oddly thin body yet packs a punch, plenty of flavour. Good power and length.

    Silver.

    RR price £23.00.....it's worth it.

September 30, 2017 - Alc: 13.5%; light to mid garnet
Delicate aromas of ripe strawberries; Morello cherry and soft baked raspberry with a waft of dried tarragon.
A fleshy entry with succulent fruit, mostly strawberries, pepper and cherry compote that run to tinned cherries.
Light to medium-bodied, the texture is rich with a sprightly acidity and plenty of red succulent fruit. Some delicate herbs add intrigue but are generally a fairly straightforward wine. Well balanced, very drinkable and generously fruited with a reasonable length. Some pliant, gently tugging tannins on the finish and a little more greener herbs comes through on the aftertaste.

April 23, 2016 - During a wine 101 tasting I hosted. Medium-light ruby. Expressive and fruit forward nose of strawberry, raspberry with a touch of minerals. On the palate this racy, fresh and straightforward. Not very dense in the mid palate, not very long but a very correct Pinot. It did struggle though next to the Chabolle Musigny Les Cras from Hudelot Baillet, which to be fair, is also a bit more expensive.
