September 29, 2023 - Nice. A bit of funky forest floor on the nose, but once in the mouth this largely disappears. More acidity than expecting and this blends well with the smooth fruit, measured sweetness, and relaxed tannic finish. Does not seem tired or old, though the colour is clearly faded. Unlikely that there is upside to further aging, but also not past enjoyment (though I have limited experience with old port).

July 3, 2023 - Port Pod: Old Colheitas (Sammamish, Washington): Decanted four hours. Amber-ruby in color. Light herbal notes and some hints of vanilla. Well-balanced entry with firm tannins on the palate and notes of chocolate and dark fruit. Nice balance and structure on the medium-long finish.

February 18, 2023 - Sammamish Port Club - February 2023 (Sammamish, Washington): Amber brown in color with fine wisps of sediment in the bottom of the glass. Some spice, woody notes and some red fruit notes. Balanced red fruit with notable acidity on the mid-palette. Medium long finish.

March 29, 2022 - Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 is a very good wine.

I know that when opening a bottle of vintage port you should gather a group and dance around the open bottle until some magical moment.

Alas, was not able to do this. I simply opened the bottle and starting drinking it (pop n pour is I believe the usual term).

Simply perfect. Smooth, rich but not heavy. I saved the better part of the bottle for tomorrow.

If it was not port and it was not 9:00pm I might have knocked the whole thing down.

    Great bottle.

Finished it over a few days. Remained excellent.

February 21, 2022 - Plum, nuts, eucalyptus. Has more time left. One of the best sips I've had in a long while.
