January 29, 2021 - Resisted the temptation to open bottle 1 of 12 until now of this iconic Coonawarra blend. First impressions: Exemplar Coonawarra Cabernet, wafts of spearmint, nougat / vanilla, hints of floral. Medium weight, well balanced, combining settled fruit and acid, noticeable oak. Lovely back palate and length to match. Drinking well now, most likely at the beginning of its prime. Drink to 2032.

July 4, 2019 - Dark and inky, with blackcurrant/cassis, dark chocolate, dark plums with a touch of cedar from the oak. Its relatively full bodied, now starting to mature with the acidity and tannins softening nicely. Excellent mouthfeel and long finish. Drinking well now, but has time on its side.
