October 14, 2023 - Light bodied style, benefits from being open for a while, red fruits with some lovely earthy development and excellent acidity

August 7, 2023 - I’ve only ever had Chanin wines with little or no aging, but this wine truely proved the age-worthiness of his wines.

Clear pale ruby with slight browning.
The nose starts of with clear bright redcurrant aromas and candied raspberries. With air it becomes a much more profound wine with aromas of dark cherries, nutmeg and cloves, wet rocks and damp earth. Complex and sueprisingly youthful.

Bright acidity and moderate body, ripe red fruits, but not at all flabby or over. Fine-grained and light tannins.

The acidity and freshness makes me think this can lay down for at least another 4-5 years, but it’s beautiful now and if I had more bottles I’d pop them sooner rather than later.

July 23, 2023 - I thought this was gorgeous, elegant, popping red berry fruit but somewhat restrained, good zip and acidity. Going for a true Burgundian style and nearly succeeds. In great shape. at Best in the Park BBQ. EWG

May 29, 2023 - My previously note holds up remarkably well nearly 8 years later, but the fruit has become ethereral and the secondary and tertiary characteristics quite prominent. Smoky, incense, and wet gravel in a drape of soft raspberry perfume. Silky and delicate on the palate, you are left with the feeling of autumn on the finish. Be careful with matching this - many foods I would typically pair with Pinot could easily overwhelm this. I might say poultry, pork, or even appropriately cooked salmon might be ideal. Not one to keep for much longer.
