January 28, 2023 - Very bold style, still going strong after 10 years. Not a typical Wilamette valley bottling.

July 29, 2020 - A Wednesday Distancing on the Deck (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Medium ruby red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour plus. The nose shows red fruits, dried herbs, and little green herbaceousness that compliments some dakrer fruit with the earthiness overlying everything. The palate has a great mouthfeel, soft and pretty, really nicely balanced, dark fruits, ripe yet so restrained with lovely spice box and mineral notes. Classy and well done. 92+pts.

September 16, 2017 - Medium dark red color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. Tart cherry, sauvage, crushed stones, and underbrush enlivened by the backend spices. Medium plus body with good depth, and it doesn't seem as forward as so many '12's. Really nice. 92+pts.

November 8, 2014 - Vivid red in color, this wine revealed very focused aromas of fig compote, cherry cola, fruitcake and smoke on the nose. The mouth feel was firm with intense but subtlely sweet tannins and added notes of milk chocolate. The finish was firm and long, showcasing the smoky, intense fruits.

Already in a very good place now, this wine should continue to improve and offer joy through 2025+.

Tasted at a special Le Cadeau Older Vintages dinner outside Wilmington, DE that I co-hosted at a friends house. Tom & Deb Mortimer, the owners of Le Cadeau, joined us to taste these treasures that all the attendees brought from their personal cellars.
