    January 13, 2020 - Benefits from air.

Appearance - medium ruby. Particles left in glass so there is residual.

Nose - clean, youthful. Again, air has helped. Upon opening it smelled funky and not in a good way. It’s been an hour and it’s come together. Quite delicious. Fruit and terrior. Red fruits, ripe, and wet leaves. Some barn. Some alcohol nose burn. Some menthol.

Palate - exposure to air has served it well. It was drinkable but coming into own style this point and quite delicious. Palate follows nose. Tannins are medium. Acidity is medium and crisp. It’s all working from my perspective, enough to make you take the next sip and top off the glass. I have every reason to think at this point the wine is very drinkable and will continue to improve into something with more personality. Very drinkable and at the price I paid I’m a buyer. Fresh ripe fruit, well made, balanced, etc. No development or interest at this point. Personally, I think it is very nice drinking at this point with hopes of something more developed going forward.

    January 15, 2017 - 2010 Corsini B. San Pietro vs 2010 R. Fenocchio Bbs:
Toll!
    - Beide Weine sind für den Preis toll!

September 27, 2015 - Very nice Barbaresco that is approachable and has a bit of complexity, but also some room to develop. Classic Nebbiolo nose of dried roses, cherry, some earth tar notes along with ceps, dried leaves, and varnish. The palate carries this on in a very elegant way that is occasionally austere. Very tight sticky tannins and short, cutting acidity. The flavours really reach their peak in the back middle palate, while the finish has a firey burst of earthy and red fruit flavours that quickly diminish. Very nice, but have had better.
