Community Tasting Notes 6

October 5, 2019 - Just ever so slightly corked, which dumbed down the wine and removed all nuance. Still, this was more fresh than oxidative, with aromas of citrus, mild honey and lanolin. It was the palate that suffered, not offensive but not showing much either. Too bad.

December 5, 2016 - Truffle Dinner - Clear color showing much younger than age. Nice, yet restrained aromas of melting candle wax, walnut oil, and light peach. Rich and round textured, with lean quality. Nuanced delicate flavors more about the feel here. Good, but not very showy.

December 2, 2016 - Twelfth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): In 87/89/91 vertical. Good density and balance with enough structure to have maintained freshness.

July 5, 2016 - Meredith brought this over for the wine poste gang shindig. PnP. 80-85% Marsanne, rest Roussanne. Very pretty, seamless floral with apple/sweet citrus aromas. Palate follows with just enough acids to give some structure to the wine. Plenty of life left. Wish I had more time to sit with this though and see if evolve.

May 1, 1994 - Tired, hint of wet straw. Premox probably.
