December 3, 2023 - Great bottle. Brought to an event and it was one of the few Pinots introduced. I brought it because I knew it had some heft to it based on previous bottles. This was delicious and showed no signs of fading. Terrific red raspberry and spice profile. My last bottle of this vintage. Onto 2014….and then the Walt labels that I have of the Clos Pepe. I have always loved everything that comes from this vineyard.

October 5, 2023 - Still brilliantly lively, with luscious spice, earth, and cherry throughout. Only issue is the 14.4% ABV is a tad hefty and starts to distract from other elements. Delicious as is, but would be in classic territory if it had been more restrained.

December 16, 2022 - This is getting real interesting. Earthy, vanillan christmas spices and sour cherry. We’re done with dinner and it’s cigar time, but this needs to be appreciated on its own. This is a deep thinking pinot that is really coming into its own. Marvelous!

February 9, 2022 - June 23, 2021: Beautiful wih classic Sta Rita Hills earthiness, hint of morel mushroom and dark cherry notes, no need to decant (92). Feb 9, 2022: Aging nicely, no mushroom notes. Paired with chicken/shrimp pad thai and tossed salad (mesclun mix, cucumber/carrot/ tomato/mushroom/grape tomatoes) (92).

January 24, 2022 - The acidity and sour cherry are intense, but wrapped in a velvety cocoon of silky texture and sumptuous earth. Hard to think this is really going to fade any time soon.
