  March 28, 2021 - 90: This is a very unusual Cabernet Franc! It is so fruit-forward that I almost thought it had spoiled when it was uncorked. It definitely had not. Bright berry aromas dominate at first, but as the wine opens up the bouquet shifts to wet slate with the fruit being much more subtle. The palate also shifts as it opens, leading with dark fruit that mellows over time but is consistently girded with a mineral foundation that lingers nicely on the finish. It has the classic opaque purple color and slow, thick legs on the swirl. Essentially no tannins or terroir, both unusual for this varietal, but it works nonetheless to create a delicious, drinkable, and memorable wine.

  October 20, 2019 - Excellent for rainy night. With or without food. Opened and decanted for about an hour. Soft but full tannins, dark red fruits, slightly peppery. Lovely wine. Note to self: buy more!!
