October 25, 2017 - Aged well in a climate controlled cellar. Right out of the bottle it had an immense nose of black berry, plum, cedar, anise, and cigar box while dicanting. Quite surprising as I thought it would be somewhat muted. On the pallet it had sweet tea leaf, boysenberry, under ripe plum skin, followed thru with tobacco, vegetable undertones, and a nicely balanced earthy under brush. Will decant for a hour nd let come to temperature to see how it develops.

March 26, 2017 - Found this one in the cellar. Forgot I had it. Needs a significant amount of air to get the must out of it, but once it opened up it was still a nice wine.

June 11, 2014 - Perfect everyday claret, just about at peak though no panic at all. Nose quite subdued but plenty on palate. Loads of dark plummy and black berry fruit, touch of cedar wood, silky well resolved tannins, good acidity, decent length. Some smokiness, some earthy notes. Great value, lot of pleasure.

December 29, 2013 - Still dark ruby. Lots of dark fruits, berries and plums. A smokiness. Earthiness. Plenty acidity. Medium length. A confusing mix of smooth and more aggressive tannins, maybe the different grapes that year? Good with food and drinking well.
