March 21, 2024 - On its shoulder from pure fruit to secondary notes, delicious ripe flavours, on the darker side of spectrum.

February 21, 2024 - For a really warm year, Yquem knocked it out of the park. Maybe could use a touch more acid but it still is a nice balance, better than some second growth Sauternes in cooler years. Amazing complexity and variety of fruit coming out on the palate, and not subtly: orange peel, mango, candied pineapple, ginger among others. Wonderful wine.

January 8, 2024 - This shows rich orange and yellow fruit on both the nose and palate; orange marmalade, apricot, honey, pineapple, and subtler spicy notes, with fairly strong acidity and a long finish. The heat of the year shows up in richness and intensity, but it's not over the top. This is outstanding.

December 30, 2023 - Yquem never lets down. While this is a really ripe vintage, I was surprised by the freshness. Aromas of vanilla, orange, dried abricots and lots of caramel (no honey!). Really complex with an amazing finish. Really thick mouthfeel in a good way.

December 1, 2023 - The complex nose shoots from the glass with buttered apricots, pineapple, ginger, saffron, candied orange, vanilla, and caramel. The palate is equal to the perfume with its rich, creamy, layered, opulent display of apricots, honeyed pineapple, spice, vanilla, and ginger that soothes, coats, and lingers on your palate. While the is incredibly rich, it is not fat, or cloying, but it is intense. This will age for decades. Drink from 2023-2053.
