January 30, 2024 - This was disappointing as it seemed pretty flat and lifeless until deep into the evening. Had run the wine through Vinturi and in to decanter and then poured fairly quickly. Only three hours later did the wine begin to show depth of flavor. I'm hesitant to mark it down because maybe it was just poor handling, but at 11 years old, I expected it to be more welcoming.

January 27, 2024 - Tasted at the estate alongside the 2019 and 2009.
Being the middle of the pack in age, I thought this was rather muted and perhaps being in an awkward stage at this tasting. The black fruit had not really developed much further, but rather was fading in intensity when compared to the tannic structure of the wine. At the time I was concerned that the fruit may not outlast the tannins, but there is a good chance that this was just in an awkward muted phase today and will re-emerge later. 912 people found this helpful Comment -
