October 31, 2022 - Still youthful, will benefit from 3-5 years additional aging.

September 7, 2019 - If you like “big”, high alcohol wines, this will be right up your alley. Gave this a 1 hour decant before tasting. Deep, dark color. Lots of staining and long, glycerin-like legs. Slight cherry on the nose, buried under the secondary new French oak smells of leather and faint vanilla. Black cherry, blackberry and plum come through more clearly on the palate. Big, grippy tannins. 15.2% alc. with the expected back of the palate burn. Quite a bit of sediment. This could use another 2-3 years of bottle aging to resolve the tannin.

March 9, 2019 - The nose is of quiet, brooding dark fruit. There are several unobvious Syrah markers in it that I can't quite name. On the palate, the Syrah seems to contribute an appealing tautness, and right now the Bordeaux varietals add mystery, depth and support. Tannins are still resolving.
