  August 28, 2017 - The OTHER Montepulciano ��.
  Nose is dark plums, berries, blackberry jam, charcoal, damp leaves (thanks to the Slavonian oak?)
  Very rich, sappy mouth-feel. Fruits are bold with cocoa, quince and spice. Tannins are soft leaving a consistently long rich finish.
  The palate could get a little exhausting if this bad boy was consumed by itself. A large cheeseboard helped.

  Avec pates à la pancetta sauce rosée.
  Bouquet sur les herbes séchées. Bouche très dense, tannins serrés.
  Du lourdeau. Moins mon genre.

  December 26, 2015 - this performed verry well on the first day : full of matter without being a blockbuster, a little bit of heat from the alcohol, but this worked fine, on the second day it already suffered from some fatigue, so I think it is time to drink this

  December 24, 2015 - Very funky nose initially. Really stinky, and not in a good way. Very tight in the mouth, and lots of tannins. 3 hours of decanting and the wine was much more open. The stinkiness blew off, revealing some lovely dark red fruits, tobacco and charcoal. Still tight and tannic, but manageable. I'd say a good future ahead. 89+
