April 14, 2024 - 2/2, decent cork. Decanted and immediately served.
Medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Nose is reticent, opens a touch to show light, sour red fruit, touch of nutmeg. Medium bodied, gently spicy, red cherry, firm but fine tannins, savoury on medium length finish. This bottle a bit past its peak. -

March 27, 2024 - Excellent wine that held up well after 20 years...although I may have done well to drink this 2-3 years ago. Still, nice moderate, but firm tannins, elegant red fruit of cherries and well developed characters of leather, butcher shop meat, herb and tea. Had to finish the bottle several hours after we started...there was no letting this sit for a second night.

April 3, 2021 - Just beautiful. Based on some of the recent comments, I was apprehensive, but this was anything but disappointing. Medium bodied, with great complexity and a reasonably long finish. Fully mature, this has probably peaked, but still offered tremendous enjoyment. Looking forward to my last bottle!

Medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Lovely, aromatic nose, red cherries, spice, florals. Medium/full bodied, elegant and fresh but with a rich core of fruit too, red cherry again, spice, fine tannins, lovely vibrant, tangy acidity carries a good length lightly grippy finish.
