June 3, 2020 - 1/2, good cork, decanted 1/2hr.
Medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Lovely, aromatic nose, red cherries, spice, florals. Medium/full bodied, elegant and fresh but with a rich core of fruit too, red cherry again, spice, fine tannins, lovely vibrant, tangy acidity carries a good length lightly grippy finish. January 14, 2018 - Surprisingly austere initially. A little tannic with subdued fruit. Wasn't even sure I'd drink the bottle but it opened up nicely over the course of an hour until eventually the tannins backed off and soft red fruit was prevalent. Pleasant in the end but a little disappointing relative to what I had hoped for.
