July 7, 2018 - This was a really nice mature BdM, blinded I would have guessed this were 10 years older and that was okay with me. The fruit takes the backseat here to the earth and tobacco leaf characteristics which are delivered in a nice harmonious mouthful. I have never had this producer before but I really enjoyed this - and would rate this higher than most of the previous tasters.

February 24, 2017 - Gave it around 3 hours of air to see if it would shake off the worrying Barnyard/mushroom aroma that always worries me with older wines. It didn't sadly and was there throughout. The fruit was disappearing - still some there but not enough to save it. A 2005 Brunello should be showing a lot better than this but this bottle was over the hill.

February 29, 2016 - Colore limpido e brillante con Unghia già leggermente evoluta.
Naso dinamico e subito elegante: belle erbe aromatiche intense, tè verde, frutti rossi maturi, leggera liquirizia, infuso di finocchio, prime terziarizzazioni, tamarindo, fiori appassiti, prugne secche.
Bocca slanciata, fresca, scorrevole. Tannini già ben risolti, acidità ancora viva.
Finale goudroneggiante, leggermente ammandorlato, lungo lungo, molto persistente.
Molto bene a tavola con una stracotto di cinghiale.
    Punto di affinamento ottimo.
    Eccellente Brunello.

November 16, 2014 - Medium garnet, pale garnet rim. Nose is fragrant with red cherry fruit, leather, touch of fig and earth. Medium/fill bodied, crisp red fruit, savoury, reasonably generous, smoky, notes of fig and earth. Perhaps a touch of soy. Grippy, savoury, bright finish. Drinking well.

August 15, 2013 - Consistent with other notes - enjoyable but would not repurchase at its price point.
