Community Tasting Notes 10

December 3, 2020 - medium density ruby magenta colored with trace bricking. nose shows blueberry, stony mineral, brown sugar, chestnut, wet basil, and raspberry. light bodied with medium acidity. nicely balanced. super savory flavors, shows some more raspberry and blueberry. dried plum and spice as well. strongly mineral. fine dusty tannins gained grip with air. flavors here are deep and the savory component is delicious. like crisp chicken skin. much better than last bottle.

October 9, 2020 - medium density ruby. nose showing raspberry and blackberry fruits, tar, some natural herbal funk, and a trace of VA. still good acid and a lighter body. palate shows some darker berry fruits. heat of the south. very fine tannins dry out the finish. has not gained the complexity i had hoped for but still drinks well.

May 27, 2017 - Bought the last bottle after tasting at a local wine shop. Easy entry point at $28. One of those vineyard sources where they're not quite sure what they've got in it but suffice to say it's primarily carignane. This is light , almost Pinot like in color. Light on its feet. Great nose of a floral perfumed strawberry after you give it sufficient time to open up in the glass. Smooth is an understatement. You can sit and drink a bottle of this all night long. Nice clean wine with a nice clean finish. Doubt that it will improve much beyond where it is right now so I'd drink this as a nice any day wine the rest of '17.

November 9, 2015 - Enjoyed at L'Express in Montréal. A bit of spritz at first, nothing wrong with that. Actually quite pleasant. Explosive fruit, very akin to the Cru Beaujolais with which I have experience. Classic natural wine funk is definitely there, but it isn't overwhelming. Pure, thirst quenching, and really satisfying.
