October 22, 2022 - My wife would say 100. :). Drinking perfectly. Decanted for about 90 mins which was sufficient. Beautiful wine. Smooth and well balanced with a long finish. It’s all about the fruit (stewed plums and dark jam) although the age has allowed it to become extremely well integrated.

November 11, 2021 - Score reflects the state of the wine after a few hours of air. First glass was still tight and a little intense, smoothed out a lot after that. Suggest a couple hour decant.

July 23, 2021 - Quick 30 min decant does the trick

November 13, 2020 - One amazing wine! I’ve found that I enjoy Napa Valley cabs within the 7-10 year range, and this one falls right into to that age range.

This Cliff Lede cab does not disappoint. Very smooth, mellow tannins, well balanced, nice vibrant fruit flavor and acidity.

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry (89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) is indeed worthy of its name. Bottled perfection, it is an extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon offering floral, blackcurrant, boysenberry and hints of oak, forest floor and graphite notes, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and an exuberance, freshness and delineation that are remarkable. This amazing effort is the quintessential Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon that is Napa Valley’s version of Château Margaux. The finish just won’t quit. Kudos to proprietor Cliff Lede. This cuvée needs 3-4 years of aging, and should keep for 20-25.

August 15, 2019 - Given the cost, expected more. Lots of bright fruit, but seems a little awkward.
