May 10, 2022 - Terrific ptq. Drinking well and should for the next few years.

March 31, 2009 - Deep dark colour. Meaty nose, Bovril/ Oxo cube and the most pronounced aroma of fried white onion or hot dog stand - how bizarre? The wine has a lovely syrupy mouthfeel on entry, tannins have melted away and the mid-palate is weighted beautifully with loads black fruit. Impeccably well balanced. This wine is absolutely singing today and would possibly last but why wait when it tastes this good. A real star!

February 1, 2009 - Almost meaty, had with short-ribs, which are themselves dense and meaty - this worked great. So many French wines lately that I've had have been wimpy and lame, having a fruit-forward wine that has some oomph is a nice change.
