November 22, 2023 - Very good Hunter shiraz. I bought this several years ago from the vineyard, with the hope it would evolve like a good Hunter Shiraz. Having kept in the cellar, it has rewarded me for my patience. What strikes me is the balance. A medium bodied wine, with optimum fruit, think plums, dark cherries, with fine grained tannins. It is still fresh and bright, but in a good way. There is no reason it cannot evolve for another decade.

September 13, 2014 - Wine-Ark boys on tour - Hunter Valley 2014 - Day 2 (Hunter Valley): ripe black berry, pepper, spice, slight cream, vanilla hints and a touch of funkiness. In the mouth the wine has medium plus acidity, pepper over black berry fruit, medium plus intensity chewy chalky tanning, long with very slight non-intrusive alcohol heat on the finish. Hmm.
