For The Love of Loosen Likes this wine: 90 points
April 26, 2022 - We recently really enjoyed a trip to Clonakilla, and this prompted tonight’s tasting. A tale of two wines: 2013 Hilltops vs 2014 O’Riada. Apples and oranges, but enjoyable nonetheless. 2013 was a good vintage in the vineyard, and this is clearly reflected in the wine. Elegant lifted dark fruit, with tannins firm but enjoyable. There’s an almost Cabernet-esque poise about it all. Medium bodied and fantastic QPR. 14% ABV. Yum. 90+

April 14, 2019 - Powerful nose of dark fruits. Smooth and mouthfilling. Again, plenty of dark fruits on the palate - with a slightly sweet edge. Quite Cote Rotie in style. Still some grip on the medium-length finish. Well balanced and very drinkable. Not sure what the future holds, but I wouldn't say there's any great hurry.

April 1, 2019 - I was right in my last review. This was drinking at its peak. Still a very good drop, but happy it’s the last bottle in the cellar (of this vintage) as its not getting any better.
An understated/under-appreciated wine that is at the right price point for its quality (even if it doesn’t have the recognition/status it deserves).
Def on the buy again list.
