May 3, 2024 - Upon opening, this was a little leaner and tighter than expected. Nice colour, young. Tight and a little tannic, needs air. Will revisit.

update after an hour or so open. much better. some cayuse funk, meatiness bacon and olives beginning to show. still not at the level of the syrahs and a good reminder of why i cut purchases of this off.

i would not pull this wine out to impress guests, but it is plenty tasty.

February 21, 2024 - I like it, however I don't know that I understand it. Not a style of Cab I've ever encountered. Seems light, subtle, which is fine. But it feels more like a pinot lovers style of Cab. To me.

November 4, 2023 - 25th Annual Lyon 10 Year Retrospective (Lyon Down Inn): First and only wine where everyone had it pegged before I could even sit down from pouring! Cayuse funk overlying the plummy fruit, smoke, herbs, and violets. 92 on day 2, the funk mellowed substantially.

December 18, 2022 - Excellent pairing with herbed leg of lamb. Wish I had more. Smooth as silk, and am questioning how much more aging potential this vintage has.

August 27, 2022 - Really rich nose with earthy funk, garrigue, and a bit of red fruit. These carry over to the palate, and a bit more and a bit darker fruit comes through. Overall really nice. Defijitely a New World wine with Old World roots.
