Prima wijn!

May 19, 2017 - Opened & slow-oxed one hour before serving. Very nice youthfull & deep colour. Lots of bouquet straight away, very cab franc: sweet strawberry, graphite, floral but no "green meanies" at all. Soft attack, very good plush mouthfeel, beautiful round taste and fine long finish. Excellent! Love it!

January 16, 2017 - Appearance: Bright and clear, it has deep ruby color, with fading rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of black fruit of plum and ripe cherries, animal notes of leather, maturity notes of savory, kernel notes of chocolate, oak notes of cedar, pungent spice of licorice. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium (-) tannin of ripe and silky texture, medium alcohol, medium (-) body and medium (+) intensity flavors of black fruit such as plum and dark cherries, oak notes of cedar, floral notes of violet, pungent spice of licorice, herbaceous notes of green bell pepper. The wine has a medium finish.
Conclusion: Acceptable quality Loire Valley Cabernet Franc with a fairly intense nose showing nice complexity, the wine has an elegant structure, robust in flavors, but a bit weak on tannin and body for the varietal, but still having good concentration and a decent length on the finish. The wine is ready to drink now and not intend for further ageing.
