February 25, 2006 - Medium-light cherry color with a pale rim. Moderate intensity, focused nose of cherry liquor, earth and pepper. These flavors carry over to the somewhat austere palate, though this wine has good focus and depth despite the tannin and bite. Medium to light bodied, plenty of balancing acidity, young and moderately tannic, but I think this will age into something better in the coming 4-5 years. Finishes long with cherry and rasberry notes.
