  December 20, 2023 - Really just a brief note to say that this bottle was sound but not spectacular. Better than the previous 3 bottles and I note variable reviews suggestive of lack of cleanliness in this bottling. In fact that's been my experience with Niepoorts in 91,92, 94 and 97 despite generally tasting delicious up to about 5 years old. Anyway, this impression coincides with that of egaible 05/11/19 note.

  October 30, 2023 - A wine with a questionable pedigree and I've also had my share of VA-riddled bottles. This, however, was clean and lovely to drink. Not very complex, with many light strawberries, cream and dried herbs, with some dry notes of leather. Definitely not showing the concentration or greatness expected from the vintage, but drinking surprisingly well and enjoyed very much.

  May 22, 2022 - Similar to last bottle. Some acetone initially. Plummy nose. Rather simple. Chunky. Maybe not the cleanest. Disappointing in the vintage context.

  April 12, 2021 - Opened just as the last bottle was finishing to see if this was any better. Definitely a step up though still quite mature and not exceptional.
