Community Tasting Notes 1

    January 6, 2016 - Pop and poured.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of citrus lemon, orange peel, sweet gooseberries, passionfruit, flinty minerality. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, lovely zingy high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon, sweet gooseberries, flinty minerality. Medium+ finish.
Very good quality. Not suitable for further ageing, drink up. Just how I like my Sauvignon Blanc, elegant easy drinking and without the pungent green notes of some new world examples. Can feel the ripeness of the fruit here. Didier Dagueneau's Pouilly Fumes are in a class of their own, and though this isn't extremely complex, it does tick the right boxes and it definitely has the class and magic of the Dagueneau family name.
