January 16, 2024 - Almost too bitter to drink for the first 45 minutes or so. Passable thereafter but surprising.

December 27, 2023 - impeccable aromas and palate; is the essence of Nebbiolo’s pinnacle style. I actually decanted this 2012 1/2 hour before serving. It had opened up enough and on the nose displayed dried tobacco leaf, cigar box, ripe blackberries, and fig. So complex, so many layers

June 30, 2023 - Gave it a two hour decant, and this was drinking beautifully. Still has ample tannin and acidity, but is developing nice secondary flavors. A tad heavy on wood, but overall is well balanced at this point while retaining its power.

March 5, 2022 - Clear pale garnet; clean medium nose of wood, balsamic, leather, dried cherries and florality; dry; high acidity; high tannins; medium plus alcohol; medium plus body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter and follows nose; long finish; great tertiary elements that are well integrated - not sure that more time is needed - drink now or in a few years; very woody and tannic out of bottle but came together after about an hour in decanter

November 6, 2021 - The nose is shy, but could be coaxed after a long time in the glass- cherry, green pepper, black pepper, tobacco, and hints of earth, leather and graphite. The wine is dominated by tannins at this stage, but the finish is long, revealing unripe red fruit and earthy tones. Way too young at this juncture in its life…another 5-10 years before my next bottle.
