August 20, 2021 - Smell of crushed pepper, with some cherry compote, soft and round bouquet.
On the palate the wine is well evolved: smooth and polished.
At the end there is some underlying acidity which is well integrated; together with a tannin grip which is a bit on the drying side and suggests that the wine should probably be finished up in the next couple of years, before the tannins eat up the fruit.

December 2, 2020 - This time the wine came across more favorable than in our tasting of March 12, 20 where we tasted a variety of 2012 Pinot Noirs from Oregon.
While it was still relatively soft and round it showed more tension and life; also acidity and tannin were more noticeable.
Not a great wine, the aftertaste was a bit short but there was more "there" there.

March 14, 2020 - Tasted as part of the 10-deep line-up of Oregon/Willamette Valley PN's tasted last night at my house. All the wines were double decanted a couple of hours before the actual tasting.
Last night it came across as quite soft and watery. Showed no great length
One of the weaker PN's tasted last night

January 25, 2020 - Better and more open on the second day: Dark color, nose of dark cherries, as well as some floor wax.
On the palate the cherry impression that was there on the first day has gone. Wine seems to have picked up body and heft; the tannins are more prominent.
This is my first 2012 Oregon PN in a while; I am not sure how this will develop further. Probably needs some substantial food to show its best such as duck breast, boeuf bourgingnon, coq au vin or something similar.
    Interesting and a bit puzzling.

December 4, 2018 - A lighter medium garnet color, with aromas of wet cedar forest. Medium bodied flavors of black cherry cola and black tea with almost a little dark chocolate on the finish, good acidity and integrated tannin. A good wine, an elegant style of 2012. Still got stuff for 2-3 more years.
