October 5, 2015 - An herbal, smoky nose. The mouth is dark berries, raspberry, with a peppery cola middle and a long tobacco tail. Lots of tannins developing in the middle and increasing more and more. Lovely. I think this may only get better with age...maybe 2 years?

January 13, 2015 - PnP. A pretty deep purple color. Dark berries, smoke, tar, and coffee on the nose. The palate is brighter than I expected, but rather closed out of the bottle. It reminds me a bit of Dimetapp right now. I'm not sure what to make of this wine.
+1.5 hours: the fruit seems to be akin to watermelon or strawberry. Some coffee grounds showing up. I hope it will continue to open.
