May 25, 2020 - A very nice sticky and well balanced with a long finish.

January 28, 2016 - Last time I had this, it was years ago- I remember being just infatuated with this wine.

The wine is golden and viscous, fresh pineapple, honey, and pears on the nose. Tasting reveals an oily, viscous texture- a lot of residual sugar, low acid. Notes of raw honey, pear syrup, and very little citrus.

Cloyingly sweet, needs more acid. While the wine is well made, I feel that it is not for me anymore, but I could see why some others would like it.

March 30, 2015 - A private tasting (Calera Wine Company, Hollister, California, USA): Made from late harvested grapes from the Gimelli vineyard (100%), their juice frozen after the harvest to further concentrate it. Sweet, soft, nice hint of apple, clean, rich, pure and well-made, good intensity and length.
