  December 29, 2013 - First of all, this bottle was popped and poured; it had no sediment in the shoulder or on the glass. The color is a translucent garnet with minimal hints of oxidation, which was quite impressive. On the nose, it had a charming bouquet of forest floor mixed with black currants. The palate was more expressive, with a lively lift sweet cherry on the attack and more forest floor and black currants on the mid-palate and minerality on the back palate. The finish was long. I'm not usually a fan of old-world flavors, but this was very charming.

  October 24, 2013 - Popped and poured. Good structure throughout. Smooth. Great mouthfeel. Glad I have 3 more bottles.

  October 23, 2013 - A pleasant surprise. Quite nice on the nose with a bit of funk and fruit. Nice soft mouthfeel, with the funk and fruit both appearing on the front palate. A tad light on the mid-palate but a nice finish.

  Drink over the next year.
