Community Tasting Notes 9

April 14, 2023 - OK but this wine has never lived up to what I expected. It’s my only experience with 2007’s and maybe why I never bought heavily in this vintage. Nice dark wine full of sweet red and black fruits but not a lot of anything else. As close to an Italian fruit bomb as any as I can remember.

March 13, 2022 - Four hour decant, see previous notes, this bottle is clearly better developed and going strong vs the 2nd bottle I reviewed, with more room for growth, the 2nd bottle was off for some unknown identified reason. One more bottle to go.

December 8, 2021 - Slow oxed for 8 hrs then into a decanter. Really really dark showing no signs of age. The nose is still reticent but showed some hints of flowers red berries soil and hay cinnamon and sweet cherries. Still seems like it’s very young. No real secondary development. I highly enjoyed with a ribs. I didn’t follow my own advice from last bottle. -:( Sit on next one a few more years.

November 12, 2021 - WOW! You will be duly impressed by this perfectly aged Brunello drinking right in its sweet spot. A beautiful gardenia floral upon opening followed by a short decant with very limited sediment. Luscious dark cherry followed which increased velvety texture through the evening. Never expected such a +++ showing.

August 9, 2021 - Similar to my previous drinking note but a clear decline in this particular bottle, with a somewhat short finish and the fruit beginning to fade, drink them if you got them.
