Community Tasting Notes 2

December 27, 2007 - Had this with spiral cut ham on Christmas night and it paired beautifully. This is a softer pinot with a wonderful mouthfeel. The tannins are soft, the fruit is soft: black cherries, persimmon, ripe Cascade blackberries. The only thing not soft is the price so while I enjoyed it, I'm not out looking for another bottle.

January 27, 2007 - Pacific Northwest Wines from Oregon & Washington (Farpointe Cellar): This had a very interesting profile. The nose had lots of cherry, plus some sweaty socks, and a small amount of strawberry at the end. The palate was full of cherry, mushroom, spice, and strawberry. The tannins were a little bitter, but it had a long finish.
