Aromas de frutas maduras, especiarias, leve Madeira, frutas discretas
Na boca taninos de personalidade, acidez no presente, corpo médio, persistência leve a longa

September 30, 2017 - This is not drinking as well as the '10 of this wine I had a few weeks ago. Typical RdD nose of dark fruits and tobacco. Finishes with lots of black pepper and angular tannins. Even so, it is lean in the midsection and ultimately tastes rather generic. This has some baby fat to shed but I think it is going to dry out before it becomes special in any way. Probably best to drink up in a group setting with lots of other wines (preferably after everyone has already had lots of wine!)

November 5, 2016 - Inky, black, full bodied
    Oak, blackberries, cassis, pencil lead,
Dry, good acidity, 'woody', medium plus finish. Tastes like the nose.

VERY good QPR (+1 pt). Extremely quaff-able, with or without food.
This is perfect wine to serve to a large group, like at a wedding reception.

July 10, 2016 - Slow ox in bottle for 2 hours.
Multifarious flavours of blackberry, cranberry, cherry, prune, eucalyptus and sweet spices, along with whiffs of cedar, licorice, garrigue and vanilla. A little alcohol heat present. Medium body, pleasant rounded texture, medium(+) acidity, medium intensity, medium(+) grippy tannins. In terms of structure, this wine put me a little in mind of a still-somewhat awkward youth, but it had plenty of nice Ribera flavours going on. At $40+, decent QPR.
