Community Tasting Notes 1

July 4, 2015 - Bought the during my trip to the Piemonte based on the 14.5 abv listed on the bottle as well as the rarity of finding a Ruche in the states. Definitely interesting, has all the lower abv Ruche characteristics I am familiar with but trades the rustic, acidic edge for a rounder, fuller, more candied texture. Tart Oceanspray cran-raspberry with some tangy orange zest and candied anise, almost twizzler-like. It was nice but ultimately the alcohol and its contributing bitter finish was a bit too noticeable for my tastes and my old school palate prefers the rough acidic edge. Overall evaluation B.
