August 29, 2018 - Soft tannins and red fruit. Drinking nicely, but drink up. Had a bottle from the same shipment a month ago and it was definitely getting past it's best.

May 8, 2017 - Decanted and consumed over two hours. More red than black fruit but all very muted. Touches of currant and plum. Tannins are pretty much resolved though there is still plenty of breadth and density on the palate. All the usual enjoyable tertiary characteristics are here as well - horse sweat, autumn leaves, cigar box - and a touch of aniseed. Bit of a pleasant surprise and a pleasure to quaff.
