June 14, 2020 - bon, acide, couleur fonfé, probablement trop jeune, car ne comprends pas la facture $$. trop cher pour ce que c'est. un bon montrachet pour le même prix bien devant.

August 26, 2019 - Catena Zapata is one of the highly regarded estates in Mendoza, known for the Malbec and Chardonnay. This 2011 Catena Zapata White Stones Chardonnay is one of the best whites I have tasted from Argentina, barrel fermented Tasted blind - Chardonnay like but quite certain it wasn’t from Burgundy. Bright lemons and sugary tree fruits, ultra-ripe fruits with creamy lactic body. The fruit concentration and phenolic ripeness reminds me of warm climate Chardonnay, European? (86/100)

January 27, 2019 - Bright gold colour. A beautiful open nose of grilled hazelnuts, apricot, peach, candied citrus fruit, white flowers...lots going on...complex. Strikingly sharp acidity and salty...rich and full-bodied...expecting more fruit flavours. Long finish. An interesting wine with lots of character...very different...normal for its big price tag? Expected more wow. Enjoyed discovering this wine. 89+

August 1, 2017 - Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Alpharetta, GA): Dull amber yellow color; beeswax, white flowers, asian pear, lemondrop, kumquat; tart fruit on palate, lemon, apple, good flavors and noble texture; I like many were on Marsanne, called Chante Alouete; well done.

January 2, 2017 - Nose is getting richer with time in decanter. Toasted bread with pear and white peach preserves. Palate is saline and austere. I was hoping 6 year old would be enough for this cuvee, but clearly it could use more time. High acid, this does have a thick-ish texture and should continue to evolve for several years. 92+ Drink 2018-2021+
